Alleged Minor defilement in Adamawa Court Adjourned hearing to 20th june 2022

The case between one Dahiru Abdullahi Nyaya of Bakari Mbamoi ward of Yola South and a minor over alleged defiling has again been adjourned to the 20th of July, 2022.

Nuhu Musa Garta of the Criminal Court, Yola Town declared that the defendant, Dahiru Abdullahi Nyaya is still on bail as earlier granted.

Our reporters Muhammad Bello Liman and Bilyaminu Gambo Kong-kol report that the court’s decision followed a request by Barrister L.M Dodo of Female Lawyers Association in the state.

According to Dodo, the complaint was not properly filed hence the need to transfer it to the police for proper investigation.

However, the defendant, Dahiru Abdullahi Nyaya, objected to the plea, stressing that the suit followed through the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and he has evidences to defend himself.

The case was filed before the court in June, 2022.
