By Zakariyya Aliyu Gwaram

The Adamawa State Executive Council has sanctioned a supplementary budget amounting to N55,256,595,280 for the fiscal year 2024.

The announcement was made by Mrs. Neido Geoffrey Kufalto, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, following the SEC’s deliberation in Yola, overseen by Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta.

Mrs. Kufalto emphasized that the approval underscores the government’s dedication to ensuring the completion of all current projects without disruption.

Mr. Emmanuel Piridimso, the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, noted that the approval followed new financial inflows into the state coffers. He highlighted that these additional funds necessitated adjustments to the budget to include essential human development projects not previously covered in the initial 2024 budget.
