High Court in Adamawa cleared Former Commissioner of Finance on Corruption

 

Justice Nathan Musa of Adamawa State High Court has discharged and acquitted former Adamawa Finance Commissioner, Jonathan Sanda Lamurde, who was accused of corruption.

Barrister Jonathan Lamurde, who served as the Commissioner of Finance during Governor Ngillari’s administration, was dragged before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Also, the court has acquitted Protocol Officer to former Governor Bala Ngillari, Abdulrahaman Bobboi who was alleged to have diverted the sum of N8.140 million.

Recall that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, in its three count charges before the court, that Bobboi, who is also the Political Adviser to Governor Fintiri, who was alleged to have diverted the money meant for the transportation of food items to Internally Displaced Persons.
