Executive secretary Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency, Dr. Muhammad Amin Suleiman has expressed concern over inability of people to heead their advice on relocating to safe locations.
The ADSEMA secretary disclosed this in an interview with NASFM news while giving the update so far on flood situation in Adamawa State.
According to the Dr. Muhammad Amin Suleiman, sixteen local government areas had so far recorded the incident in Adamawa State.
The executive secretary said there is no official communication from Lagdo Dam contrary to the perception of people as a result of the incident.
He added that the communities are experiencing the incident as a result of river Killange and Faro.
Dr. Muhammad Amin Suleiman also said the despite to coordinated response of government agencies, but the victims declined for settlement at the displacement camps established for the victims.
Dr. Suleiman also inform the communities in the river prone areas that the flooding is not yet over considering the prediction that is becoming a reality.
Meanwhile NASFM news discovered in unguwan Tana and Bworonji in Yola North local government area are experiencing the incident.
NASFM news also confirmed displacement of some communities in Girei Local government area to include, Kangling, Tabongo, Ndikajam and some places where farm land shelters submerged.
