The Adamawa State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri reached significant approvals aimed at enhancing judicial and media infrastructure in Adamawa State were announced.
The meeting which held at the council chamber this Friday, focused on key development issues, culminated in several major approvals as detailed by Mrs Neido Geoffrey Kufoltu, the Commissioner of Information and strategy.
The Council approved a substantial investment for judicial improvements, including a renovation project for High Court A totaling ₦1,902,982,906.97.(one billion,nine hundred and two million,nine hundred and eighty two thousand,nine hundred and six naira,ninety seven kobo)Additionally, the renovation of High Court Complex B, involving updates to windows and ceilings, was approved at a cost of ₦494,825,140.85.(fourty-four hundred and ninety-four million,eight hundred and twenty-five thousand,one hundred and fourty naira,eighty kobo).
These renovations underscore the government’s commitment to strengthening the judicial system in Adamawa State.
Furthermore, the Council addressed needs within the state’s media sector by approving the supply and installation of a Booster Transmitter at the Mbamba station. The project aims to enhance broadcast quality and reach. Alongside this, the construction of four new studios was approved, including two for radio broadcasting, one for drama, and one for production at over two billion naira.
This development is expected to bolster local media capabilities, supporting both entertainment and informational broadcasting.
Kofulto disclosed that the effort aligned with present administration determination to tackle the ongoing challenges faced by the state’s judiciary and media, ensuring that these sectors are equipped to serve the public effectively.
These initiatives are part of a broader effort by the Adamawa State government to improve public infrastructure and service delivery across various sectors.
