Easter Adamawa: Bishop Dami Secures The Release Of Five In Mates

Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese Most Reverend Dr. Stephen Dami Mamza has on Friday secured the release of five inmates at the Yolde Pate medium security custodial Centre in Yola South local government area of Adamawa State.

The Catholic Bishop noted that the effort was part of activities of marking Good Friday, crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza also donated soap and other items for the inmates at the facility to make use of them during their stay.

He also encouraged them not to lose hope, noting that their conviction serves as a means of correcting their lives.

Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza also urged the five inmates he secured their release to become the responsible members of the society as they unite with their family.

Responding, the in charge of the Custodial Centre Yolde Pate, Musa Gambaki commended the Catholic Bishop of Yola diocese for always identifying them.

Some freed Inmates at the custodial centre expressed joy with a promised to become good members of the society.

Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza also promised to continue visiting the centre with assistance to the inmates on occasions.
