Adamawa State Mourns Two Leaders

Alhaji Babayola Mustapha, former district head of Girei and Ubandoma Adamawa, was laid to rest on Thursday at the age of 103 after a prolonged illness. His funeral, held at Lamido Adamawa’s palace in Yola, was attended by numerous mourners, including Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

The governor offered prayers for Mustapha’s eternal rest and expressed condolences to his family, noting the significant loss for Adamawa State.

Mustapha is survived by his children, including the prominent politician Alhaji Ibrahim Babayola Mustapha.

In a separate event, Governor Fintiri also mourned the death of Baba Ndatam Wesley Fwa, who passed away at 85.

The governor, accompanied by his deputy and other officials, attended the funeral at Fwa’s family compound. Fintiri highlighted Fwa’s contributions to Mbula Chiefdom and the state, emphasizing the loss of his valuable experience.

Fwa, who died at Absolute Care Hospital, is survived by his children, including former Demsa LGA Chairman Wenakan Wesley Fwa, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
