Residents Of Mubi North and South LGAs Laments Lack of Electricity

Residents of Mubi North and South LGAs of Adamawa State, have expressed displeasure over lack of electricity for the past few days which affected their businesses.

The residents made the disclosure while speaking to NAS FM NEWS Reporter, Abdulaziz Yerima Hameed, on the poor sales experience on their businesses.

Mubi is the nerve center for commercial in Adamawa state, but lack of stable electricity becomes worrisome in the council areas, despite the unrealistic bill YEDC used to give to consumers.

To this end, business men and women in the two LGAs, have lamented on the poor supply of electricity which according to them has affected their businesses.

David Adewale, a barbing saloon owner, described the situation as unfortunate, explaining that lack of electricity has crippled his entire business

Also speaking, Mrs Janet Sunday, a Saloon owner in the same vein, explained that the challenges of electricity in Mubi, has taken another dimension and has seriously affected her business.

While speaking, the Business Manager YEDC Mubi, Malam Atiku Mahmud Talba, said they issued the bill based on what the customer consumes monthly.

He further explains, that sometimes they charge less, when there is a problem with supply and customers should know that bills come based on categories.

On his part, the Technical Director of YEDC in Mubi, Malam Abdallah, clarifies the challenge encountered during a few days, leading to poor supply occurred from biu and not Mubi.

Abdallah further stated that the electricity has since been restored and they are still working on the minor problems to avoid future occurrence.
