Islamic Cleric In Mubi Cautioned Business Men Against Undue Prices

Chief Imam of Aliyu Bin Abi-Dalib Jumma’a Mosque, Wuro Bulude, Mubi, Adamawa State, Sheikh Adam Umar Ali, has cautioned manufactures and traders against undue price hikes of food items as the Islamic month of Ramadan approaches.

The cleric made the call in an interview with NASFM News

The month of Ramadan is the ninth month on the Islamic calendar and is the month in which the Holy Qur’an was revealed.

Ramadan is regarded by Muslims as the best month of the year, and the month of earning multiple rewards and forgiveness from God.

The 2024 month of Ramadan is expected to start on March 10th, or 11th, subject to the sighting of the moon and confirmation by the office of the President-General of Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar.

Sheikh Adam Umar Ali, appealed to manufacturers, traders, businessmen, and women to fear Allah and reduce the prices of essential things needed during the Ramadan fast.

He hinted that charity is of the deeds highly encouraged in the month of Ramadan.

The Islamic Cleric, who also expressed his concern over Nigeria’s current economic reality, appealed to the government and other relevant authorities to provide palliatives to mitigate the effect of hunger bedeviling the citizens prior to the Ramadan period.
