Adamawa Expresses Keen Interest In AUN Entrepreneurship,Skills Programmes

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has pledged to collaborate with the American University of Nigeria (AUN) in Yola to identify strategies that could significantly benefit both the state and the nation. The Governor views this partnership as an opportunity to enhance youth development and leverage the university’s contributions to the state.

During a meeting with AUN President Prof. Dewayne Frazier and top university officials at the Government House in Yola, Governor Fintiri expressed his appreciation for the university’s recognition of the state’s achievements in infrastructure and security. He showed a keen interest in partnering with AUN to explore new areas of mutual benefit that could positively affect the lives of citizens.

Governor Fintiri outlined the state’s willingness to collaborate with AUN on sponsoring student scholarships, as well as initiatives in skill acquisition and entrepreneurship, aiming to empower individuals for a transformative impact on both the state and the broader country. He also briefed the AUN delegation on the government’s initiatives to combat insecurity and foster unity among the populace.

Prof. Dewayne Frazier, on behalf of the university, offered condolences for the loss of the former Madagali LG Chairman and praised the Governor’s contributions to infrastructure and security. He expressed AUN’s eagerness to support the Governor’s initiatives, including scholarship sponsorships and enhancing state security through a potential agreement with the US embassy.
