As the issue of jamb results is becoming a major challenge to the continuous students of Federal polytechnic Mubi, the director of the academic planning, Dr Abubakar Bawa, has called on students of the institution especially those who have no jamb results to register for their jamb in order to avoid academic failure.
Dr Bawa, made the call while speaking to NASFM News reporter peace Francis Danck on the current academic changes that is bedevilling the institution.
The joint admission and matriculation board (JAMB) is a Nigerian entrance examination board for tertiary level institutions.
The board is also charged with the responsibilities to administer similar examinations for applicants to Nigerian public and private Universities, polytechnics as well as colleges of educations.
Meanwhile, the system is becoming a challenge to the students of Federal polytechnic Mubi as polytechnics and colleges of education were not adopting the method before now.
It was on these new developments and directives that the director of the academic planning Federal Polytechnic Mubi Dr. Abubakar Nawa, who went round to some governments and private schools to sanitize students on the need to register for their JAMB even as they Awaits their WEAC results.
He said with the current academic directives now, no JAMB results no admission.
Dr. Bawa, further stressed that for HND two students, they must do their regulations before they will be allowed to go for their service.
Miss Juliet Musa who is a student of Federal Polytechnic Mubi, decried that the new system has really affected her studies.
She said she have graduated from her pre-HND thinking of going to HND two but all to no avail, as she have to wait again for one year Industrial Training (IT) which they were not told before.
On his part, Mr Israel Michael Abbai, also a student said as HND two student he needs to go and do his regulations, as it would cost him a lot of money to do that.
Abbai therefore, called on the many of the institution and the government to look into the situation to provide lasting solution.
It could be recalled that before now polytechnics are not adopting the method of JAMB, but now is a national compulsory directives, hence the need for polytechnic students to get use with the method to avoid academic drop back.
