Adamawa State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development continues Tsangaya schools assessment.

The Adamawa State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development has assessed Arabic Learning Center popularly known as “Tsangaya” school in Song Local Government area.

Dr. Umar Garba Pella had during the assessment visit promised the state government commitment to promote education which is among the eleven point agenda of Governor Ahmadu Umaru in Adamawa State.

The commissioner visited Arabic School known as Tsangaya and met the Teacher, Malam Ya’u in Loko, Song Local Government.

The school was under the supervision of Better Education Service Delivery ( BESDA) Programme in Adamawa State.

The project is nine month three days a week.

Speaking, the commissioner Dr. Umar Garba Pella, noted that education is the backbone of every nation, hence the State government commitment for intervention to reduce the number of out of school children in the State.

The Commissioner also expressed satisfaction with the learning equipment in the school, noting that it would encourage the younger generation to impart knowledge among Tsangaya Children.

The Acting Chairman Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board ADSUBEB, Malam Abdullahi Ismai’l during the visit noted that his board will continue supporting such programmes for uplifting the standard of education in Adamawa State.

While fielding questions from Journalists, Malam Yau Loko, the proprietor of the “Tsangaya” centre appreciated the State government and BESDA partyicularly for ensuring the successful project.

He also appealed to the state government to provide shelter to”Tsangaya” and teachers welfare to ensure sustainability of the project.

The Commissioner for education, Dr. Garba Umar Pella had a stopover and inspected the three Classrooms and toilet renovated by BESDA at Mararraban Dumne, Primary School all in Song Local Government Area.
