The Adamawa state administration has affirmed its dedication to ensuring the state’s peace and security. This commitment was voiced by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri during the chieftaincy title conferral ceremony of 27 Mbula dignitaries by Murum Mbula, Bwaltam Bentley Biyapo Mboiman II, at Mboiman Square in Borrong, Demsa Local Government Area.
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Dr. Edgar Amos Sunday, Governor Fintiri lauded the successful organization of the event by the Royal Father, expressing high esteem for the Murum and his community’s leadership, unity, and developmental efforts.
Murum Bwaltam Bentley Biyapo highlighted the significance of the ceremony as a historic first during his reign, emphasizing the honor and responsibility bestowed upon the titleholders. He expressed optimism for the community’s future development under Governor Fintiri’s leadership, urging the newly honored chiefs to spearhead impactful projects and foster unity for the community’s advancement.
On behalf of the honorees, Boniface Zebulun expressed gratitude to the Murum for the recognition, pledging their commitment to the Mbula kingdom’s progress. The event also saw appreciation for Governor Fintiri’s role in safeguarding residents, with Demsa’s local government head, Chief Wenakam Fwah, acknowledging the governor’s security efforts.
Among the dignitaries receiving titles were the state’s House of Assembly Speaker, Bathiya Wesley, Commissioner of Works and Energy Development, Adamu Atiku Abubakar, alongside other notable figures. The ceremony was attended by state government officials, assembly members, and featured cultural performances, highlighting the rich heritage of the Mbula kingdom and neighboring communities.
