Stakeholders advocates breastfeeding in work places.

Stakeholders of public and private sectors have been called upon to allow workers to be able to go along with their babies to their work places, saying such decision would help mothers to concentrate more on their duties as their babies are not far from them.

The Head of department of Nutrition and diabetic Federal Polytechnic Mubi who is also the chairperson of Adamawa state chapter of nutrition society of Nigeria Dr. Rita Ngozi Nwankwo, made the call in an interview regarding exclusive breast feeding of babies, saying mother’s needs to be educated and sensitize on the importance of exclusive breast feeding of their babies.
Dr. Rita, called on mothers to make sure they breast feed their babies in the first six days of child birth because it is very important to the child.
The United Nations has set aside every 1st to 7th August as an annual world breast feeding week and it is also a global affair about breast feeding mothers.
The world breast feeding week is a week that is of more importance to breastfeeding mothers because of its usefulness to the wellbeing of the baby and that of the family.
