On Wednesday, the Adamawa State Executive Council approved a budget proposal of N225.8 billion for the 2024 fiscal year during a council meeting presided over by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. The expenditure, labeled ‘Budget of Reengineering,’ was disclosed by the State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Mrs. Neido Geoffrey Kafulto, after the meeting held in the Council Chambers of the Government House in Yola.
Mrs. Geoffrey Kafulto emphasized that the budget was formulated by the government based on current realities.
Additionally, Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mr. Emmanuel Piridimso, highlighted that N111.3 billion, representing 49.3%, was allocated for recurrent services, while N114.5 billion, representing 50.7%, is designated for capital expenditure.
The Commissioner mentioned that the proposed budget is set to be presented to the state House of Assembly on Friday for consideration and approval.
