Palliative: Religious leaders hail Governor Fintiri

Religious Leaders in Yola have hail Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fontiri for free palliative distribution in Adamawa State.

The clerics both from Christian and Islamic religions had in an interview with NASFM News described the Governor as a passionate leader that rescinds position of subsidy distribution of the palliative to free for the citizens.

It could be recalled that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri had last week flagged off the distribution of free palliative due to the removal of fuel subsidy in Adamawa State.

But the concern of the religious leaders in Adamawa is that the distribution should be done judiciously especially to vulnerable individuals.

Bishop Markus Ibrahim Anfani, the Anglican Bishop of Yola Diocese called on the chairmen and councillors that would distribute the items at the ward and local government levels in Adamawa State to be just in carrying out the assignment.

He noted that the masses are Press down with skyrocketed prices of food commodities in the market.

Mallam Musa Kaduna an Islamic Scholar in Yola, called on the distribution committee not to isolate individuals in their activities.

The masses are now waiting from the committee at the local level to adhere for justice delivery of the grain to the masses at the grassroots especially now that hunger becomes major threat to Nigerians.
