Adamawa State Governor affirmed unwavering commitment to the security of the state.

Adamawa state Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has affirmed his unwavering commitment to prioritizing the security of the state. He expressed this commitment during a meeting with Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, the Grand Commanding Officer of the 3rd Division of the Nigerian Army, who paid a visit to the government house for a familiarization visit.

Governor Fintiri emphasized that security is the cornerstone of development in any society, underscoring the necessity for his administration to remain steadfast in safeguarding the lives and property of the state’s residents. He noted that his administration has established a strong partnership with the Nigerian Army to bolster security efforts.

Dr. Edgar Amos, the Chief of Staff, represented the governor during the courtesy call and reiterated the government’s dedication to ensuring the safety of the state’s populace. The governor expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation received from the Nigeria Army under the leadership of Brigade Commander M.J. Gambo, describing it as cordial and productive.

Governor Fintiri extended gratitude to the Grand Commanding Officer for the visit and pledged the government’s continued investment of energy, resources, and expertise to collaborate with the Nigeria Army and the broader security apparatus in safeguarding the lives and property of the state’s people

Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar expressed his delight at the supportive role of the state government in facilitating a conducive environment for economic activities, despite security challenges in the Northeast.

He sought further collaboration with the state government to enhance the army’s efforts in providing security for the state and the nation.

The delegation, including Brigade Commander M.J. Gambo and other senior officers, was welcomed to the government house.
