Adamawa state government applauded the operations of the Nigeria Army in the state.

Adamawa state government applauded the operations of the Nigeria Army in the state. The applaud was made by the Adamawa state Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri during his remarks at the commissioning ceremony of the Nigerian Army Civil Military cooperation project at Gwadabawa Community ground in Jimeta Yola Adamawa state.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintir who was represented by the Chief Of Staff, government house, Doctor Edgar Amos at the event said the event truly signified the level of cordial relationship between the Nigerian Army and people of the state, assuring that with good relationship there will be better security of lives and property of the people urging the army to continue in that regards.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri announced that the Adamawa state government and the Nigeria army especially it leadership of the 23rd armored brigade is cordial , adding that it will continue to partner with army and all the security apparatus to ensure that security receives priority attention.

The governor congratulated the executor of the project, major General Mohammed Bello for being a role mode, mentor and worthy ambassador of Gwadabawa community and Adamawa state at large, stressing that projects like this are worthy of emulation.

According to the governor, the project will go a long way in addressing water challenges faced by the people in that community, adding that his administration is also committed to providing meaningful infrastructure which water is among.

He therefore appealed to the Gwadabawa community to help in maintaining the facility, while government is doing all it can to ensure that projects like this are sustain.

In his remarks, the special guest of honor, Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant Genaral Taoriq Lagbaja who was represented by the General Commanding Officer 3 division of the Nigeria Army, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar said expressed gratitude to the people of the state and also acknowledged the unrelenting people of the state to the Nigeria Army.

General Lagbaja said over the years, the Nigerian Army  had enjoyed support from the good people of Adamawa state and it has contributed immensely in curbing the activities of criminals and insurgents in the region and the Nation at large.

While describing the project as one of the army’s special intervention program, the Chief of staff appreciated Major General Mohammed Bello for identifying with his community and bringing such project for it benefit.

Speaking on the project, the executor of the projector, major General Mohammed Bello said this has been his lifelong dream and achieving it made him more satisfied that his community has finally overcame the challenges of having water.

While appreciating all that grace the commissioning ceremony, Major General Mohammed Bello  called on the host community to help in sustaining the water project for the benefit of all.

In his vote of thanks, the community representative and also Jagaba Jimeta, Mr. Sunny Monidafe appreciated the Nigeria Army Civil Military coorperation project and the project executor, Major General Mohammed Bello and also pledged that the community will do everything possible to ensure that it benefitted from the water project.

Highlight of the event were drama, cultural dances and presentation of souvenirs.
