Adamawa First Lady distributes palliatives to Elderly women in the state.

Wife of the Adamawa State Governor, Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri has commenced the distribution of food items and cash to 250 elderly people in the state under the Renewed Hope Initiative Elderly Support Scheme, RHI.

The program initiated by the wife of the President, Oluremi Tinubu, in collaboration with the Adamawa first lady’s pet project Fresh Air Prolife Empowerment Foundation FAPEF, was meant to cushion the effect of the economic hardship and alleviate the burden of the elderly during this festive period.

Presenting her speech at the banquet hall, Yola Hajiya Lami Ahmadu fintiri said the first Lady, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu has disbursed 250 million naira to the elderly across the 36 states of the federation including the FCT, to support 250 vulnerable elderly citizens aged 65 above.

She added that each elderly person is to get One Hundred Thousand Naira, and with the support from the fresh air prolife empowerment Foundation, assorted food items were distributed to the beneficiaries with the aim to improve the wellbeing of the elderly vulnerable citizens.

While expressing delight to the first lady Oluremi Tinubu for the kindhearted gesture, Hajiya Lami Fintiri urged the beneficiaries to use the items accordingly.

Earlier in her welcome remark the commissioner of women affairs Mrs wunfe Anthony commended Oluremi tinibu and Hajiya Lami Ahmadu state for their tireless efforts in promoting the welfare of the citizens in all aspects.
