Adamawa Gov’t To Release 500m For Women Farmers,2.4bn For Payments of Waec and NECO

The National Convention of Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria,Adamawa state, was attended by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri with a commitment to promoting peace,empowering the society,strengthen education and security to sustain peaceful coexistence.

The governor disclosed that his intention to be at the convention ground is to gratify the church and the people of the support to his administration.

Fintiri said that in order to ameliorate the current hardship, the government designed to empower ten thousand women (10,000) after every 3 months. Additionally, the government will distribute farm inputs to women, describing them as beacons of actualizing progressive Adamawa.

Similarly, the present administration has earmarked two billions,four hundred million (2.4bn), for continuous sponsorship of Waec and NECO fees to secondary schools in the state.

In the same vein, Governor Fintiri also announced released of over five hundred million naira(500m) as scholarship to Adamawa indegenes in educational institutions. He assures parents that despite the hardship, their children in boarding schools will be well fed.

Governor Fintiri equally maintained that the security of people’s lives and property remains the topmost priority of his government. Thus, intimate the public to render security authorities’ assistance.

The governor also preaches patience and preaches against envy and jealousy, describing them as catalyst for destruction.

In his address,Rev Nelson Malau Vice Chairman LCCN, Dean Benue Division, on behalf of Rt Rev Bishop Aneas N Japhet, expressed delight for the presence of the governor and his cabinet and appealed for the establishment of Luther Bible College in the area.

The National Convention of Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria with the theme;”God of impossiblities”begins Tuesday, 5th March, at LCCN Covention Ground Numan and will be round up on Sunday, 10th March,2024.
