Federal Lawmaker representing Mayo-Belwa, Jada, Ganye and Toungo Federal Constituency, Muhammed Inuwa Bassi has flagg-off the empowerment programme for persons with Disability under his constituency.
The Empowerment program by the lawmaker took place at the special Education centre in Jada local government area of Adamawa state.
The beneficiaries who are members of JAGAMATO were selected from four local government areas that made up the constituency for the empowerment to make them self-reliance in their respective areas.
Speaking during the occasion, the founder of Jagamato who doubled as the lawmaker representing the area, Muhammad Inuwa Bassi said the effort is part of steps towards giving back to the electorates.
The law maker added that he will soon set a committee that will train the beneficiaries on how to operate the POS, calling on them to be aware of fraudster in the business.
On his part Governor Ahmadu Umaru fintiri of Adamawa state, represented by Commissioner of water resources, Malam Tanko Ayuba urged the beneficiaries to use the item judiciously.
Commenting, a member representing Osodu/Solo of Lagos state, Dr Bashiru Daoudu who is also Chairman Committee on persons with disabilities at the House of Representatives describe the Empowerment program by Muhammed Inuwa Bassi as timely.
Speaking to NASFM news some beneficiaries includes Adamu Abdulrashid and Abbas Tukur Umar Appreciated the lawmaker for the gesture promising to use items in improving their living standards.
During the occasion seventy Persons With Disability received POS machine and thirty thousand Naira cash as a starting Capital.
