Student In Government Science and Technical College Mubi Appeals For Intervention Over Water Scarcity

Some students of Government Science and technical College Mubi, have appealed for urgent intervention of the Government and nongovernmental organizations over the lingering water scarcity bedeviling the school.

The students, while expressing their ordeals to NAS FM News, said the trekked a long distance to fetch water.

Scarcity of water among other challenges have for decades becomes a major challenge bedeviling students of government science and technical college.

NASFM News cited some students of the college in there numbers walking around the street of Mubi in search of water.

Some of the students while expressing their ordeals in an interview, said they trekked from their school to as far as the emir’s palace, ASU Boni campus among other places to get water.

Speaking on the development, the principal of the college Adamu Shaibu, reveals that the government have severally send engineers to dig bohole but due to the nature of the land were unable.

He further maintained that apart from scarcity of water the school is also bedeviled with the challenge of fencing which needs urgent intervention of the government.

While stressing that the government alone cannot curb the challenges facing the school, called on well to do individuals, non-governmental organizations to come to their aid.

Observation by NAS FM News, shows that the school only have two walls as source of drinking water which usually dry up during dry season.
