The 2024 State Amirul Hajj team and the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission presented their post-Hajj report to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. The team credited the success of the Hajj operation to the strong support from the state government.

Professor Abdullahi Liman Tukur, representing the Amirul Hajj, highlighted the significant role of government assistance in making the Hajj a success. However, the team noted that there are no clear standards or qualifications for the appointment of schedule officers, who are responsible for screening pilgrims and managing Hajj fees.

Malam Abubakar Sadiq, the Executive Secretary of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission, stated that the 2024 Hajj was more successful than the previous year’s and that the board continues to improve each year. He mentioned that Adamawa State was recognized as the Best Partner for Hajj 2024 by a company for African non-Arab nations, which he attributes to the board’s dedicated efforts under Governor Fintiri’s leadership.

Governor Fintiri expressed his gratitude to both teams for overseeing what he described as a successful Hajj. He commended the Amirul Hajj team for their efficient work despite the short preparation time and confirmed that the team’s recommendations have been approved to ensure even better outcomes in future Hajj operations.
