Pitapwa Unity Football Competition 2nd Edition: “We all about Unity”

The draws for Pitapwa Unity Football Competition took place at Makwada Square in Numan.

The current edition will feature teams in the southern zone.Speaking at the occasion, the donor, Mr. Pitapwa F. Vokito emphasized that the purpose of the competition is to promote collective action irrespective of tribe or religious differences for the progress of Adamawa state.

Mr. Pitapwa F Vokito, represented by Comrade Danladi Jonah, Chairman Organising Committee, said the gesture was aimed at creating a platform for the untapped potential skills in youth across Adamawa State.
Mr. Vokito insisted that the habit of collective actions geared toward the success of the common man should be encouraged among the youth.

Mr. Vokito assures impartiality to participating clubs and promises to checkmate activities of match officials for optimal execution of the tournament.
He urged participants to imbibe the attitude of sportsmanship and abide by the rules of the game.

The tournament will comprise nine local governments of Southern Adamawa with prizes of one million naira for the winning team, five hundred thousand naira for runner up, and two hundred and fifty thousand to third place.
The maiden edition of the tournament took place in Yola with the then Coach Mourinho of UB FC emerging as winner. The competition is set to begin 4th February in inaugural match between Zidon FC against Bandawa United at Numan local government.
