PDP Campaign Gains Momentum as Gov. Fintiri Unveils Candidates in Gombi, Song, and Girei

The third-day of the People’s Democratic Party PDP tour for the Adamawa Council and Councillorship elections took up in Gombi local government area were the party flag bearer Hon. Mark Ishaya was unveiled by Governor Ahmadu Umaru and the state party chairman Barr. AT Shehu at Gombi Primary School.

Governor Fintiri expressed confidence in the supporters’ turnout and was optimistic that their numbers would spur the party to victory.  

Represented by Adamawa State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon. Bathiya Wesley,Fintiri appealed to the Gombi community to ensure proper monitoring and management of basic amenities and the leaders to be affront in providing solutions to their problems before the government at state level steps in.

In his remark,Hon. Mark Ishaya assured voters in Gombi that his unalloyed commitment to deepening democracy reached the grassroots.

Meanwhile, in Song local government Hon. Idris Yahya and his deputy Hon. Donan Prambe received the party flag from the party Chairman Barr AT Shehu and Hon. Bathiya Wesley, who represented Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

The flagged off, which took place at Song town, witnessed a crowd of supporters who expressed gratitude to Governor Fintiri for giving women optimal opportunities in Song and other local governments in Adamawa.

The flag bearer Hon. Idris Yahya promises to prioritize projects that improve the living conditions of communities.

Stakeholders at the occasion underscore the importance of unity among party stalwarts to ensure progress in the local government polls.

At a similar event in the Girei local government area, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri had while presenting party aspirant Hon. Adamu Dallatu and his deputy Hon. Luri Zephaniah urged voters to elect the flag bearer for their collective gains and, by extension, Adamawa state.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who was represented by the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly Hon. Bathiya Wesley expressed confidence in people of Girei for the victory in the elections.

Speakers on behalf of youths and women in respective local government commends the gender inclusivity, youth and common approach for the progress of their communities.

The Adamawa council election is slated for 13th July,2024 across the 21 loxccal local governments in the state.
