Ministries Departments and Agencies under the Adamawa State Government have commenced defending their 2024 Proposed budget before various committees of the Adamawa State House of Assembly.
The Speaker of the house, Mr. Bathiya Wesley in his opening remarked, said the budget is more fundamental duty imposed by the constitution on both the three arms of Government.
The Speaker Mr. Bathiya Wesley had while declaring the Budget Defence Open noted that it is the ultimate goal of the house to build a legacy that everyone would be proud of, stressed the need for collaborative work among members.
The Speaker, Bathiya Wesley also emphasized that citizens of Adamawa State are looking up to legislature not to fail them in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Commissioner of local government and chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Yayaji Mijinyawa said his Ministry had proposed Morethan ₦57 Million Naira as against more than ₦69 million Naira in its previous personnel costs.
Alhaji Yayaji also pledged to compliment activities of the Adamawa State Government.
Other Ministries appeared for defence of Budget before their various committees include Mineral resources, Health and Human services, Agriculture, livestock, State Planning .
Others are Ministries of commerce, Agriculture Among others.
Various chairmen of the house standing committees had at their various presentations promised to work after the defence defence of the Budget for Speedy Passage and Governors’ Assent and implementation.
