Maiden Adamawa Youth Summit:Gov Fintiri Lauds Focus On ICT

Adamawa state government hosts a maiden edition of Youth Summit in the state at the government house Banquet Hall Yola with the theme:Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders.

The summit is expected to compliment the administration’s desire to uplift the youth for maximal use of their potential to the overall development of the state.

Addressing the participants, Adamawa state governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said that as a matter of deliberate policy, youths have always been a centre of action in empowerment,health,sports and more.

Fintiri, who commended the organizers, hoped the youth would make a gain,the community would strive, and Adamawa future shines brighter.

The governor also maintained that the move aligns with his vision for prosperous and technology advance Adamawa.

He advised the participants not to be reluctant but active in networking with one another, collaborate, and inspire the coming generation.

In her opening remark,the convener of the summit and Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Empowerment, Safrat Dungus described the summit as a platform at the same time tool for Youth to make impact in governance and socio-economic progress of Adamawa state.

The Special Adviser equally disclosed that the summit is open to every indegene of the state regardless of party affiliation, religion, or social status.

Key consideration at the summit includes empowering leadership and youth empowerment in the digital sector.

The summit is believed along with the youth creativity and determination to be vital in addressing challenges the society faces.

The two-day event is expected to end tomorrow, Thursday, 23rd May,2024.
