Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State announced plans to build a 10-meter dual carriageway with an underpass from Bekaji roundabout to the airport. He shared this news during a dinner in his honor after receiving an infrastructure award from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. 
The Governor instructed the State Ministry of Works and Energy to get approval for the project by the end of July. He assured that the Mubi roundabout flyover will be completed soon, and the AA Lawal junction flyover will be finished in six months. Additionally, a 21-kilometer Super Highway with a cloverleaf at FGGC will be completed next year, which is expected to encourage landowners to build houses.
Governor Fintiri highlighted his administration’s reforms, which attracted international attention. UNICEF awarded the state a $45 million grant for health sector improvements, and an $80 million project in the education sector is expected.
He is committed to building over 2000 modern shops at the former Jimeta shopping complex and Yola market, as well as a 20-kilometer Federal Housing road network. Three mega science and technical schools, one dedicated to females, will also be constructed.
Through the Fintiri Business Wallet initiative, every three months, 10,000 women and youth will receive cash grants of 10,000 each. Over the next two years, the government will focus on improving the 21 local government areas (LGAs) and 226 wards.
Fintiri thanked the people for their support and urged them to live in peace and unity. The State Deputy Governor, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, and other officials praised Fintiri’s efforts in transforming the state.
