Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state on saturday 7th October,2023 commissioned the third flyover bridge in Jimeta Yola.
The project will be executed at the former Mubi roundabout in a span of 18 months.
During the flagging off ceremony, Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, had while explaining the cost of the project stated that urban renewal occupies central position in his administration 11 points agenda.
He assured the people that no one would be left behind and nothing would be left untouched.
Governor Fintiri, added that his administration is improving the infrastructural status of urban and rural centres, stressing that his mission is beyond rhetoric and the vision clear.
The member representing Yola North Constituency, at the State House of Assembly, Sulaiman Umar Alkali and the acting District head of jimeta Alhaji Jauro Baba Demsawo on behalf of the people in the area, appreciated the government effort in fulfilling its campaign promises.
Earlier in his address, the Commissioner of works and energy development, Hon Adamu Atiku Abubakar, said the new flyover will enhance security, stimulate economic activities, booster local businesses and elevate property value in the vicinity.
The governor was accompanied to the venue of the event by the state deputy governor, Professor Kleptawa Farauta, Secretary to the state government, Barrister Auwal D Tukur, Chief of staff to the Governor, Dr. Edgar Amos, members of state executive council, members of the national and State assemblies among others.
The nine billion, two hundred and sixty-four million, four hundred and ninety-eight thousand, seven hundred and fifty-five naira, five kobo project is a development that embodied the Adamawa state government infrastructural aspiration, it’s also expected to enhance ecological balance to meet world standard.
