Governor Fintiri Appoints Five-Man Governing Council For ADSU

The Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has inaugurated a five-man governing council of the Adamawa State University Mubi, with Professor Maxwell Gidado (SAN), as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman.

The other council members are Alhaji Aliyu Mohammed Gabdo, Mr. Vidon Jaule, Dr. Ali Danburam, and Barrister Hapsat Abdullahi Jimeta.

During the inauguration at the Government House, Yola, Governor Fintiri expressed his satisfaction with the public’s positive response to the new appointments, highlighting the council members’ exemplary records, competence, and experience as key factors in their selection.

Governor Fintiri also emphasized his administration’s dedication to enhancing education through significant investments in free education initiatives, construction and renovation of educational facilities, and the launch of model nursery and primary schools across the state.

He announced plans to begin construction of three mega senior secondary schools, to boost educational infrastructure across Adamawa’s three senatorial zones.

Responding, the new Pro-Chancellor and Council Chairman of the Adamawa State University Mubi, Professor Maxwell Gidado, pledged that the Governing Council would prioritize honesty, transparency, and accountability in its affairs.

Professor Maxwell Gidado said the council is committed to leading the university towards becoming a national beacon of learning, innovation, and excellence.
