Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State expressed keen interest to continue to be identified with the Nigerian Polo Federation and explore all potentials to make Adamawa economically and politically viable.
The governor made the revelation when he received the National Executives and Members of Nigerian Polo Federation at the government house, Yola.
The prestigious sport entourage is currently excuting polo matches for Governor’s Cup,Lamido Cup, as well Intel Polo tournament in Yola.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri had while welcoming the team,applauds the Lamido Adamawa Dr. Muhammad Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha for promoting Adamawa state through Polo internally and abroad.
Fintiri also expressed delight by how the visitors argued the notion that Polo is a game for the privilege and inaccessible.
The governor also reassured commitment to keep Adamawa peaceful for prosperity and advancement of sports in particular.
Responding, the president Nigerian Polo Federation, Alh Nuru Kangiwa in company of the 2nd Vice president Nigerian Polo Federation Abdulkarim Jibrin and Ambassador, Director for Federation of International Polo Zone E comprising Africa, Asia and Middle East, Mohd B. Kyari appreciated the unalloyed support by the Fintiri administration towards the game of Polo,stating that for the first time, the Fresh Air Polo Team in honour of the governor is participating in the tournament.
He further commended Governor Fintiri’s sense of inclusion for appointing one of them in his administration and the peaceful coexistence in the state, which enabled the success of their games.

The teams participating in the tournaments comprise Yola Stable and Yola Fombina representing Adamawa state, Malcomines of Jos Plateau state,Minna Bago,Niger state and Bauchi Gubi representing Bauchi state Among others.
