Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri stated that protests will not solve the challenges the country is facing. Instead, they could serve as a breeding ground for those with malicious intent. Consequently, he denounced the planned national protest.
The Governor made the pronouncement during People’s Democratic Party Stakeholders meeting, which took place at Banquet Hall, Government House, Yola.
The meeting, initiated by the party, was called to address critical issues, particularly concerning the upcoming protest.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri acknowledged the people’s right to protest but warned against actions that could lead to violence.
He called on party executives to convene and discuss solutions to issues without resorting to violence.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Awwal D Tukur,Fintiri, insist they will not give breathing space to violence, assuring that the Fintiri administration will not rest it oars until the situation is adjusted. 
Adamawa state PDP Chairman man Barr AT Shehu expressed concerns, recalling the violence of the EndSARS protest.
He described Nigeria as prone to violence and emphasized the importance of preventing hoodlums from hijacking the protest.
Barr Shehu highlighted the readiness of 226 councillors, 21 council chairmen, and the legislative body to serve the people of Adamawa.
He stated that the party does not support the protest and has cautioned members against participating, labelling those who do as “enemies of progress.”
He urged local leaders to communicate with their communities to prevent any involvement in the protest.
Hon. Adamu Buba Kiri, speaking on behalf of the stakeholders, emphasized that any act of vandalism would harm everyone, not just the government. He assured that there was no need for protest in Adamawa due to the governor’s active efforts.
ALGON Chairman Hon. Sulaiman Gankuba reiterated that no protests would be allowed in their councils, emphasizing peaceful coexistence as a key element of Governor Fintiri’s administration.
The meeting concluded with a collective call for preventive measures and respect for party structures to maintain peace and stability in the region.
