Governor Fintiri Honored at NIQS Adamawa’s Inaugural Award Night

The Adamawa State Chapter of the Nigeria Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) praised Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his support and numerous projects that have boosted the institute’s activities and professionalism.

The NIQS held its first award night and launched its magazine “The Cost Experts” at Jibrin Amin Hall, Lelewal Motel, Yola. The event honored members’ contributions and recognized Governor Fintiri for his role in infrastructure development and adherence to project standards.

State chapter chairman, QS Samuel Abiodun, highlighted the importance of honoring leaders who have contributed to the built environment. He noted that the institute ensures projects are completed on budget and provide maximum value to society. In Adamawa State, their expertise is evident in improved roads, modern educational institutions, and advanced healthcare facilities, all under Governor Fintiri’s leadership over the past five years.

“The Cost Expert” magazine focuses on knowledge sharing, industry insights, and professional development to promote continuous learning and excellence in the quantity surveying profession.

Governor Fintiri, represented by Commissioner Abdulahi Prambe, reiterated his administration’s commitment to following guidelines and regulations for project execution. He encouraged the institute to raise awareness among the younger generation about the profession and ensure effective project management.

Awardees included Adamawa Commissioners Abdulahi Prambe, Yayaji Mijinyawa, Job Haggai Sama, BPP Chairman Joseph Markus, Senator Abubakar Halilu Girie, Chief Dauda Samuel Teneke, and Engr. Peter Jonah.
