Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has revealed the government’s ambitious plans to expand and rebuild 100 secondary schools across the state over the next two years. This announcement was made during a meeting with the Bachama Political Stakeholders Forum at the Government House in Yola.

As part of these initiatives, one of three new science and technical schools will be established in Lamurde Local Government Area. The Governor expressed his gratitude to the Bachama community for their consistent support and encouragement, asserting that with their continued prayers and backing, the government will achieve even greater success.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri pledged to utilize all available resources judiciously for the benefit of the state, emphasizing a commitment to safeguarding the future of the children without any form of discrimination. The government, he stated, is dedicated to improving and expanding infrastructure in both rural and urban areas.

The Governor also addressed concerns about the delays in the Lamurde Cottage Hospital project, attributing them to issues with dubious contractors. He assured that measures have been taken to rectify these problems, and the government has procured state-of-the-art equipment for the hospital.

He called on the community to act as ambassadors of peace, emphasizing that meaningful progress can only be achieved in a peaceful environment.

Earlier, Chief Pithon Power, the spokesperson for the forum, congratulated the Governor on his five-year anniversary in office and presented him with an award for his excellent leadership. He highlighted the improvements in security, the educational system, healthcare services, and the timely payment of salaries, all credited to the Governor’s pragmatic policies.

Chief Power expressed satisfaction with the numerous projects executed by the current administration in Numan and Lamurde LGAs, noting that these initiatives have provided significant relief to the people. He specifically praised the restoration of security in these areas, where residents now sleep peacefully and farmers and herders coexist without conflict.
