The Adamawa State Government has called on its citizens to safeguard state infrastructure to sustain ongoing government policies and projects.

This appeal was made by the Deputy Governor, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, during a socio-political interaction event held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Yola, on Saturday.

The event, organized by Dr. Victor Dogo, Principal Special Assistant to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri on Social Mobilization, emphasized the importance of citizen involvement in maintaining state infrastructure.

Prof. Farauta highlighted the significant developments in the state under Governor Fintiri’s leadership.

“It gladdens my heart that we are here today to celebrate the name of the man who has changed the name of Adamawa to gold. It also gladdens my heart that as Adamawa citizens, we have seen and appreciated the development of the state,” Prof. Farauta stated.

She urged citizens to protect government infrastructure and reminded them of the governor’s commitment to infrastructural development.

Dr. Dogo, in his remarks, praised Governor Fintiri’s efforts, noting his transformative impact on the state. He outlined various projects and initiatives spearheaded by the governor, including the revitalization of the civil service, extensive infrastructure development, social empowerment schemes, and the Fintiri Wallet.

“Governor Fintiri’s vision and dedication have resulted in an impressive array of projects, programs, and policies. Notably, the construction of world-class interconnecting flyovers and interchanges—the first of their kind in Northeast Nigeria—stands as a testament to his forward-thinking approach,” Dr. Dogo said.

He added that these initiatives are designed to meet both immediate and future needs, ensuring a lasting legacy for the state.

The Adamawa State Government continues to encourage its citizens to actively participate in sustaining and protecting the state’s infrastructure, thereby contributing to the overall development and prosperity of the region.
