Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has once again put his money where his mouth is, reaffirming his commitment to youth development through sports as he hosted Guinness World Record holder in chess, Tunde Onakoya, in Yola. Represented by Dr.

Edgar Amos, Fintiri heaped praise on Onakoya’s stellar achievement, underscoring the state’s efforts to build a future where the youth can spread their wings.

Among the shining stars of these initiatives is the ongoing construction of an Olympic-standard stadium, set to become a breeding ground for future champions.

Onakoya, deeply appreciative of the warm reception, called for sustained investment in sports, the glue that binds communities together and fosters growth.

Vivian Ibrahim, the driving force behind the Chess in IDP Camps initiative, also extended her gratitude, highlighting the government’s pivotal role in supporting a program designed to lift children from IDP camps and offer them a shot at a brighter future.
