Bishop Dami Mamza steps down as Adamawa CAN chairman.

The former chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria in Adamawa State, Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza has officially handed leadership to the caretaker committee of the body.

Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza who doubled as the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese had during the hand over ceremony enumerated achievements within the period of six years under his leadership.

Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza who commended his team commitment that keep CAN functional in the past six years also said under his leadership, the Secretariat for CAN was built and furnished with equipment and employment of staff Among others.

The Bishop also handed vehicles and the amount of over three million Naira to the caretaker committee of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Adamawa State.

Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza also commended his team for support that led to the completion of six year tenure as CAN Chairman in Adamawa State.

Speaking, the caretaker committee chairman, Reverend Gambo Bupwada thanked the Bishop for his examplary leadership within the period of six years.

Reverend Bupwada had while calling on the former CAN chairman to accept their visit for advice in caretaker committee leadership, promised to be just and transparent in activities.

The Caretaker committee of the Christian Body is to rule for the period of three months pending the election of new leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Adamawa State.
