Adamawa Muslim Council Donates Food And Non-food Items To Inmates At Yola Correctional Facility

In continuation of their visit to correctional centres, officials of the Muslim Council, Adamawa state have visited Yolde Pate correctional facility where they donated food and non-food items to ameliorate the hardships of the inmates.

Speaking during the visit, the state chairman of the Council, Alhaji Gambo Jika told the inmates that they should not lose hope as one day they will finish their jail terms and come out.

The chairman urged them to repent and learn some skills that would make them self-dependent anytime they are out of the correctional centre.

In his response, the officer in charge of the facility, Musa Usman Gambaki, thanked the Muslim council for the visit and stressed the need for collaboration between religious bodies and the management of the facility for the betterment of the inmates.

During the visit, the Muslim council paid a fine for two inmates to secure their release.
