The government of Adamawa State has expressed its eagerness to collaborate with the Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) to enhance safety management throughout the nation.
During a meeting with the NSIB delegation, led by Director General Captain Alex Badeh Junior, at the Government House in Yola, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri conveyed the state’s willingness to partner with the bureau. The aim is to expedite the establishment of the NSIB’s Northeast Zonal office in Yola.
Governor Fintiri extended his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for appointing Badeh as the head of the agency. He encouraged Badeh to leverage his extensive experience for the agency’s advancement and to foster a positive relationship with his team to propel the agency and the nation forward. He highlighted the importance of enhancing the safety of all transportation modes for the benefit of the populace, aligning with the NSIB’s mission.
Director General Alex Badeh Jr. explained the purpose of their visit was to brief Governor Fintiri on the upcoming management retreat and the involvement of aviation ministry directors. He outlined the bureau’s mandate to investigate transport-related accidents and its strategy to extend its presence to all geopolitical zones in Nigeria, starting with the establishment of a Northeast zone office in Adamawa State. Badeh sought the state government’s support for this initiative.
