Adamawa Government begins distribution of Guidance and Counseling gazette,task Principals to set up units in schools.

Adamawa Government has Flagged off  free distribution of the Guidance and Counseling scheme of work materials for Junior and Secondary schools in the State.

The materials would help students in pushing their career through solving skills and deal with issues surrounding their lives in various institutions.

Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development Dr, Umar Garba Pella had while Flagging off the distribution of free Guidance and Counseling scheme of work materials for Junior and Secondary in the State task Principal to establish counseling units in Adamawa State schools.

The commissioner also Appealed to Teachers to come up with initiatives for the positive development of the education sector that would be in line with policies and programmes of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State.

The Head of Service who is the Guest of Honour at the event, Pharmacist Shehu Isa Ardo represented by the Permanent Secretary Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Mukhtar Tukur noted that the distribution of the materials was a true reflection of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s Policy in the education sector.

The head of service also appreciated the Education Resource Centre for the introduction of the Guidance and Counseling scheme of work materials to secondary schools in Adamawa State.

Earlier in his address, the Executive director Adamawa State Education Resource Centre Yola, Mr. Tanko Musa said the materials would assist students to solve their problems and deal with issues surrounding their lives.

There were Goodwill messages by the Chairman Parents Teachers Association of Yola North, Nigeria Union of Teachers and CASSON National President among others, all Described coming up with the Guidance and Counseling scheme of work materials across secondary schools as the right step in the right direction.
