Adamawa State House of Assembly has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the speaker Bathiya Wesley for development strides and leadership.
This followed a matter of urgent public importance moved by the member representing Yola North Constituency Suleiman Umar Alkali and seconded by the Majority leader Kate Raymond Mamuno on the floor of the house during the plenary.
While presenting, the matter the member representing Yola North and minority leader of the house Suleiman Umar Alkali said the Governor had performed tremendously well in the development of Adamawa State.
Suleiman Umar Alkali noted that the Governor had touched the lives of his people on infrastructure and declaration of free education on him for his giant development in Adamawa State.
Contributing, the Member representing Demsa Constituency, and the majority leader Kate Raymond Mamuno said the motion is appropriate considering the development witnessing under Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri administration.
The Member representing Numan constituency, Pwamwakaino Makondo described the motion to passed a vote of confidence on the Governor as timely.
He said people the State has since the development at the Governors’ administration.
The speaker therefore directed the clerk of the house to communicate a clean copy of the resolution of the house to the governor.
Also at the plenary, the house passed a vote of confidence on the speaker Bathiya Wesley and the leadership of the eight Assembly.
Member representing Guyuk constituency, Mr. Sunday Peter moved a motion and unanimously agreed by the Members of the Assembly.
Responding, the speaker Bathiya Wesley thanked his colleagues for their support and understanding in piloting legislative activities.
