Gov. Fintiri Inaugurates New Commissioner and Special Adviser

In a formal ceremony held at the Council Chambers of the Government House in Yola, Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, oversaw the swearing-in of Alhaji Hamajumba Gatugel as the new Commissioner of Transport. The ceremony also included the swearing-in of Honourable Justina Obadiah Nkom as Special Adviser to the Governor.

The oath of office was administered by the State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Afraimu Jingi.

During the event, Governor Fintiri expressed his confidence in the capabilities of the newly appointed officials, highlighting their potential to effectively execute the responsibilities assigned to them and wishing them success in their roles.

Responding to his appointment, Alhaji Gatugel, who steps in to fill the vacancy left by Musa Mahmud Kalamu—now a State House of Assembly member for Mayo Belwa constituency—promised to utilize his extensive experience as a unionist to support the Governor’s agenda and contribute to the government’s success.
