Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri highlights the significance of securing lives and property to establish Adamawa State as one of the safest in the country.
This commitment was reiterated during the Armed Forces Appeal Fund 2024 at the Government House Council Chambers in Yola.
Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, who represents Governor Fintiri, expressed gratitude for the sacrifices made by soldiers on Armed Forces Remembrance Day and emphasized the state’s efforts in enhancing security through providing operational vehicles and support to combat crime.
Additionally, Governor Fintiri outlined strides in education, empowerment of youth and women, affordable fertilizer for agriculture, and commendation for the military’s role in maintaining peace and fighting insurgency.
The Nigeria Legion Chairman Master Warrant Officer Ali Mohammed Rtd, acknowledged the bravery of the military and sought support for fallen heroes’ families, while the Head of Service,Isah Shehu Hardo, advocated increased assistance from various sectors.
The event included the launch of the Armed Forces Appeal Fund 2024 Emblem.
