An educationist in Vimtim Mubi North Local Government Mrs Maimuna Hamman has appealed to the government at all levels to come to their aid through providing them with basic social amenities.
Mrs Maimuna Hamman made the appeal in an interview with NAS FM industrial training student Patience Sylvester.
Mrs Maimuna Hamman said teachers are facing challenges in public schools especially in rural areas.
She lamented that nowadays teachers are being neglected when it comes to remuneration and their other welfares.
She also stressed that lack of teaching and learning materials in Vimtim Primary School become a serious challenge towards education sector in the area.
She equally hinted that acute shortage of teachers is also a major challenge that the school is facing.
She, therefore, appealed to the government and relevant authorities to urgently look into their situation and consider them on the issue of shortage of teachers and learning materials.
It is widely accepted that education is a key to success in life.
