Tribunal Verdict: Consolidation of our democratic aspirations, Governor Fintiri

Adamawa state Governor Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said what the tribunal verdict means to him and the people of Adamawa is consolidation,an assurance to the Adamawa project which, the governor said is undoubtedly most important.

On Monday, 2nd October, 2023, the Adamawa State Governorship Electoral Petition Tribunal led by
Justice Theodora Uloho expelled the petition filed by Dr. Umar Ardo of Social Democratic Party SDP against Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for lack of merit.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after his arrival from Abuja at Lamido Aliyu Mustapha International Airport on tuesday. Adamawa state governor Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the victory.

According to him, he is not interested in being undisputed winner rather, considered the development an opportunity to serve the people of Adamawa better.

While applauding their efforts,Governor Fintiri said as expected the judiciary affirmed the credibility of the April 18th election. In addition, the governor is optimistic that Adamawa state had gotten the desired leadership to charge the state to genuine democratic development.

Justice Theodora Uloho had, while delivering judgement, declared evidence provided by the petitioner Dr. Umar Ardo to immaterial lacking substance therefore thrown away the petition in its entity.

Governor Fintiri conveyed his optimism that the outstanding cases at the Tribunal will similarly echo the people’s desires, believing that the election that propelled him into office adhered to the principles of free,fair and credible election.
