PDP Kicks Off Campaign for Adamawa Council Elections in Gulak

The People’s Democratic Party PDP on Tuesday 2nd July, 2024 flagged off Local Government’s Chairmanship and Councilorship campaign in Gulak headquarters of Madagali local government with crowd of supporters gathered for first council elections in the second tenure of present administration.

At the event held at the LG Secretariat in Gulak, Governor Umaru Fintiri urged voters to support all PDP candidates in the elections to enjoy more benefits from democracy.

The Governor, represented by the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Bathiya Wesley, encouraged the residents to behave peacefully before, during, and after the election.

State PDP Chairman, Barrister Tahir Shehu, acknowledged the significant contributions of the people of Madagali to strengthening the PDP, urging them to continue their support.

Elder statesman Hon. Sale Kinjir called on voters to come out in large numbers to vote for PDP candidates, to build on the achievements of Governor Fintiri.

Alhaji Dauda Saidu (Dan Maliki Madagali) highlighted the need for the state PDP leadership to create opportunities for youth and women development to support the efforts of Governor Fintiri’s administration.

The event featured the presentation of a flag to the party’s chairmanship candidate, Mr. Simon Musa Shashi, and cultural dance performances entertained the crowd.
