Movement for Progressive Adamawa Youth backs Mr. Vokito on better representation for Adamawa Youth

Published by Abdulaziz Ibrahim

A fortnight ago, a socio-political and Youth advocacy group under the leadership of Mr. Pitapwa F Vokito, has raised a crucial issue on the need to have young and fresh minds who are between the ages of 25 and 39 years in the Cabinet of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
This call was corroborated by another youth group in Adamawa state, Movement for Progressive Adamawa Youths, taking into consideration the huge contribution the Youths can make in shaping the polity and policies of the Government, these ordeal remains lamentation of the Adamawa Youths.
In a Press Conference converged on NAS FM Yola, the Movement for Progressive Adamawa Youths (M.P.A.Y), in a statement signed by the State Coordinator Movement for Progressive Adamawa Youth, Comrade Zubairu Abubakar, describes Adamawa Youths as the raw materials needed for the growth and development of the state.

On the response by a group named ‘Fintiri Continuity for Good Governors FCGG, the state coordinator Movement for Progressive Adamawa Youth enjoined the group to understand that holding government accountable is not equal as giving the government a bad name.

While commending Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for thorough palliative distributions across Adamawa and 10 buses to ease hardship occasioned by fuel subsidy removal, also intimate the governor to embrace youth inclusion as essential in fostering young people in decision-making processes which allows for fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and a representation of the concerns and aspirations of the younger generation.
It could be recalled that, in his submission during his press conference, Mr. Vokitor, revealed a statistical research of nominees in Kaduna, Yobe, Kebbi and neighbouring Taraba where youth between ages 33-38 years were considered for critical appointments.
One thing cannot be over emphasised and must not be underrated is the fact that the youth in Adamawa will forever remain the foundation upon which the prosperity for the state will be built through their physical and intellectual strength.
