Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has sought for tolerance amongst diverse ethnic groups and religions across the state in order to create peaceful atmosphere that can pave way for development.
Fintiri,made the request in the government house, Yola on Wednesday when he received in audience officials and Imams of Jama’atul Izalatul Bid’a Wa ikamatussunnah who are in the government house to congratulate the governor on the recent tribunal victory.
The governor while assuring the delegation the visit is significant,said the victory will spur their courage to improve governance.
He intimates the religion leaders in maintaining fairness assuring them that decision on Hajj matters were base on fairness,also underscore the role of competence in service to the public.
Fintiri advised the gathering to shun misuse of resources to avoid hardship,call for collective efforts to compete with states ahead.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation Mal. Habu Magaji disclosed that the visit is imperative considering the developmental achievements of Governor Fintiri in Adamawa state.
Mal. Magaji also used the occasion to appreciate Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for appointing one from them as Amirul-Hajj in the previous Hajj exercise.
The leader states that under the Fintiri administration Adamawa is witnessing peaceful coexistence like never before hence,the reassurance of their support to the governor.
Government house Correspondent Zakariyya Aliyu Gwaram reports that a special pray for protection,and prosperity of Adamawa State was offered.
