Adamawa State Organized Labour has proposed reduction of working days to the government due to the effect of fuel subsidy removal on workers.
Chairman Joint Public Service Negotiating Council, trade Union Congress Side in Adamawa Comrade Bartholomew Nyalas made this disclosure while speaking to NASFM.
According to Dr. Bartholomew Nyalas, the situation is precarious on workers due to transport fare to various places of work.
He said workers’ turnout at the State Secretariat, the heartbeat of Adamawa civil service is discouraging, hence the need to propose the cutting of working days to the State Government for approval.
On palliatives, Dr. Bartholomew Nyalas described the effort taken by Adamawa State Government through the set-up of committees as laudable steps.
The Chairman of Joint Public Service Negotiating Council in Adamawa also urged the workers to turn to God to redeem Nigerians over the hardship posed by the removal of fuel subsidy.
