Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State is encouraging more people to get involved in voting to strengthen democracy. He made this call during a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) rally in Numan, ahead of the council elections on July 13, 2024.
Fintiri emphasized the importance of youth involvement in elections, saying it will ensure a brighter future. Governor Fintiri believes that those who avoid participating in elections are not true democrats and urged everyone to vote in the council polls.
In Demsa, Governor Fintiri highlighted the PDP’s commitment to youth development by selecting young candidates for the elections. He asked residents to vote for PDP candidates, claiming the party has a solid plan to improve lives.
The Governor also announced a new initiative by his administration to support women through the Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA), offering grants to ten thousand women every three months.
PDP State Chairman Barrister Tahir Shehu and other party members at the rallies urged the residents of Numan and Demsa, considered PDP strongholds, to continue supporting the party in the upcoming elections.
